Watercolour Landscape

I haven't had much time over the last couple of weeks, we moved house and it feels like the last boxes to be unpacked was my art equipment! I'm playing around with watercolours, don't know why .... I've always loved the way watercolours just run over and into the paper but I do enjoy oils and acrylics for the way I can control the paint. I do think the watercolours just reflects my current mood at this stage, and I'm enjoying the journey!

Here is a couple of old and new watercolours I've done!

Acrylic painting done over 3 canvasses, I'm also still busy on some details .... posting this I realise I have quite a few that I need to finish!

A Rose done in oils, I still need to do some work on the background!

I've done a couple of Bratz for my niece, I'm not sure about copy rights so this was the last one I did, I do love their funky hair!

In between some more "serious" work I just love painting art for children's rooms! We always buy art for the house but never for the kids! This is an acrylic painting with some glitter highlights .... every girl needs glitter!

I'm still new to the wonderful world of "blog"! Hope to learn some more from other blogs to make mine interesting and exciting!

The Rose

I started with the "urge" to do a rose, tried one before but wasn't happy with the outcome (even though my hubby likes it!), started this one and with lots of patience finished it at last!

I just love Arun Lilies, I decided to try and paint them and my first attempt kept me busy for many months!
